  • 285ml milk

  • 115g plain flour

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 12 tsp vegetable oil


  • Break the eggs into the milk and whisk until smooth. Whisk in the flour, a little at a time until smooth. Whisk in the salt. Leave to stand for 30 minutes.
  • Put the oven on the highest setting. Warm up a 12-hole muffin tin for 5 minutes until screaming hot.
  • Take the tray out of the oven, pour a spoonful of oil into each muffin hole, then pour in the batter. Put back in the oven for 15 minutes. Do not open the oven.
